- Keep out of public WiFi Within public WiFi everybody can simply read your data, if this is not encrypted. There also are some attacks, which make you think you´re using encrypted connections - so the most secure way to prevent being hijacked is to avoid public networks.
- Enable SSL whenever possible Most bigger websites offer HTTPS connections. You should always enable HTTPS if it is possible. Droidsheep.de offers you some examples how to enable SSL on a website - see the list below for more info
- Use VPN whenever you use untrusted networks VPN can offer you at least some kind of security in open networks. There are some very user friendly and cheap / free tools out there, which offer VPN access everywhere.
